We loved welcoming Ruth into our school for a day where students could experience
the theme of belonging linked to a refugee experience. Ruth’s story touched everyone
who attended her talk and there were a few tears as we watched the accompanying
documentary. Ruth delivered a fantastic workshop to highlight to students what it might
feel like to be in a similar position and she was then asked some hard-hitting questions
by our student journalism team! Overall, Ruth was flexible, willing to adapt to whatever
we needed and communicative throughout our preparation phase so we were really
able to create a meaningful experience for our students. We would love to have her
back in the future!
